Eglin AFB Pipeline Project

Argus is part of the Design/Build team for major repairs to the fuel transfer line between the existing Bulk Fuel Facility and the 33rd Fighter Wing Hydrant Fuel Facility at Eglin AFB.

Argus performed the 65% and 100% final design and is providing construction support for the installation of an underground, double wall, 8-inch carrier Jet-A fuel transfer line; construction of cathodic protection systems; the installation of aboveground, single wall, 8-inch Jet-A fuel transfer line; the partial demolition and abandonment of existing fuel transfer line and appurtenances; installation of permanent pigging equipment; environmental sampling and testing; a new concrete containment pad at the bulk pump shelter; seeding, mulching and site restoration.

This project includes the phased installation for 21,600 LF of UG double-wall 8” carrier within 12” containment Jet Fuel Transfer Pipeline, phased installation for 3,700 LF of slurry micro-tunnel 32” casing under seven runway and taxiway locations; construction of cathodic protection systems; installation of permanent pigging equipment; environmental sampling and testing; a new concrete containment pad at the bulk pump shelter; and seeding, mulching and site restoration. The existing fuel transfer line will be demolished/abandoned in place as part of the project.
